These tools work hard and deserve to be cared for in a way that maximizes their usefulness, protects your business and reputation, and ensures your clients’ safety.

You wake up in the morning. You brush your teeth, take your meds, grab some coffee and scan your phone. Your morning routine might vary from this by a little, but you have a routine—and you never start your day without honoring your personal sequence.
And so it should be with the cleaning and maintenance of your clippers and trimmers, the tools you rely on every day to create magic for your clients. These tools work hard and deserve to be cared for in a way that maximizes their usefulness, protects your business and reputation, and ensures your clients’ safety.
This is your clipper care routine—every clipper, every client, every time:
A misaligned blade with a protruding tooth can be a dangerous weapon. Sight along the blade edge to ensure proper alignment. Every clipper owner should have a small screwdriver handy for slight blade tweaks as needed.
A single clipping between moving blades can cause pulling and snagging. Use a sanitizable brush to swipe away any loose hair between cuts.
With the clipper running, place two drops of oil on the moving teeth and one drop on the lower corner of the inside moving blade. Let the clipper run briefly to distribute the oil. Then, wipe away any excess oil with a clean, dry cloth or a neck strip. You’re now ready to cut.
Use Clippercide mid-service to cool the blade and add light lubrication. This step is essential during longer cutting sessions.
After you're done cutting, spray your clipper again with Clippercide to disinfect the blade and prepare it for your next client.
Our industry was built on the phrase: “lather, rinse and repeat.”
Treat your clipper care and disinfection with the same repetitive discipline and you’ll enjoy longer tool life—and even longer client loyalty.
