STEP 1: Prep hair with Thickening Mousse and rough dry hair until it’s 70 percent dry.
STEP 2: Blow dry in sections, over directing with a round brush at the roots to add volume.
STEP 3: Spray Kenra Platinum Hot Spray 20 on 1 inch sections and curl each section parallel.
STEP 4: Section hair from ear to ear, brush out curls in back section with a boar bristle brush.
STEP 5: Lightly tease hair in pony and then smooth under portion with a brush and tuck the remaining hair half way through the split section to create a chignon.
STEP 6: Take 2-inch sections from one side, loosely twist away from face, and cross it to the opposite side of the chignon. Secure with a hair pin. Take a 2-inch section from the other side, loosely twist away from the face, and cross hair to the opposite side of the chignon. Secure with a pin and repeat creating a crisscross action.
STEP 7: Lightly tease your twists to help hold the shape you are creating in place.
STEP 8: Use Texturizing Taffy 13 to tame flyaways. Detail upstyle by using hair pins to secure twists.
STEP 9: Finish with Kenra Volume Spray 25.
