FORMULAS:
Formula 1: 1oz Matrix ColorInsider 2AA + 1oz Matrix ColorInsider 1N + 2oz Oil-Creme Developer
Formula 2: 2 scoops Matrix Light Master + 2oz 30 volume developer
Formula 3: 1.5oz Matrix Logics Primary Blue Concentrate + 1.5oz 10 volume developer
COLOR TECHNIQUE:
STEP 1: This model, Rachel, had previously colored level 2 hair to start. Begin by placing sliced diagonal foils with Formula 2 from the front left recession point to the back right of the parietal ridge in a brick-lay pattern with 1 inch between foils.
STEP 2: Apply Formula 1 to all non-foiled strands. Process 30 minutes, cleanse and condition with Matrix Total Results Repair shampoo and conditioner. Dry completely.
STEP 3: Apply Formula 3 from scalp to ends and process 20 minutes. Cleanse and condition.
STYLING:
STEP 1: Prep hair with Matrix Total Results Heat Resist Iron Tamer and comb through. Blow-dry the hair with a large round brush.
STEP 2: Use a flat iron to smooth and direct all the hair toward the left front shoulder, and secure all hair from the right side against the neck using hairpins to ensure position.
STEP 3: Take four 2-inch horizontal sections at the high point of the head just beyond the part-line and emboss using a micro-crimping iron.
STEP 4: Pull three strands back and secure along surface of the hair using Matrix Design Pulse HardLock hairspray. Hold can 8 inches from the head and spray until the hair is tacky enough to stick to itself.
