Learn the techniques for an undercut fade and beard sculpt from a Barberology master barber as he demonstrates a modern, undercut fade in seven easy steps, using the BabylissPRO Steel FX Clipper (FXF880) and the OriginalFX Outliner Trimmer (FX765). 

Barber pro tip: When creating an undercut fade, always leave more weight above the temple on the heavy part side only, to create a “shelf” for the top length to lay on.

GET THE LOOK:

Ad Loading...
  1. Separate the top of the hair from the sides using BabylissPRO sectioning clips.

  2. Create your first weight line with a "2" closed using the BaBylissPRO Steel FX FX880 Supercharged Pivot Motor Clipper.

  3. Create the first weight line around the head.

  4. Cut the hair at a weighted angle leaving a shelf for the undercut.

  5. Create the second weight line with a "1" closed using the BabylissPRO Steel FX FX880 Supercharged Pivot Motor Clipper.

  6. Blend the second weight line with a "1" open using the BaBylissPRO Steel FX FX880 Supercharged Pivot Motor Clipper.

  7. Taper the nape of the neck with the BaBylissPRO Steel FX FX880 Supercharged Pivot Motor Clipper.

  8. Edge around the ears and neck with the OriginalFX Trimmer.

  9. Touch up the beard.
