Miriam Ortega (@studio410artonhair), owner and hair artist of Studio 410, located in the heart of the "bishop arts district", in Dallas, Texas, pounced when Lauren asked for a silver violet blonde finish. Lauren had a level 6 regrowth with mousy yellow undertone of blonde throughout her hair. This is how Ortega handled the challenge:
Step 1: Apply Redken Flash Lift blended with 10 volume developer to the new growth.
Step 2: Process for 10min under the dryer with low heat.
Step 3: Rinse and soap cap the rest of her hair in the shampoo bowl using 2 ounces of Redken Flash Lift lightener, 2 ounces of Joico Color Endure shampoo and 2 ounces 10 volume developer. Process for less than 5 minutes.
Step 4: Shampoo and rinse.
Step 5: Blend 2 ounces of Redken Shades EQ 9V, 2 ounces of Redken Shades EQ 9B, quarter of 1 ounce of Redken Shades EQ VIOLET kicker, A quarter of 1 ounce of Redken Shades EQ BLUE kicker, all blended with 10 volume.
Step 6: Apply throughout new growth, then pulling through out the entire hair shaft.
Step 7: Process for 7-9 minutes.
Step 8: Rinse, shampoo and apply Moroccanoil Deep Conditioning treatment to rebuild and revitalize.
TO STYLE:
Styling her out using KENRA blow dry spray, CATWALK root boost spray for lift and texture and then blast away with BED HEAD Headrush, giving her that lightweight spray gloss look.
