Teen star Zendaya, fresh from Disney TV’s Shake it Up, made a smashing debut on the Dancing with the Stars season premiere. Her phenomenal footwork was complemented with gorgeous, flowing waves that were, at the same time, soft and full of staying power. Celebrity stylist Araxi Lindsey has worked with Zendaya before and shares how she prepared her hair for her Dancing with the Stars debut.

“Zendaya naturally has amazing hair. She loves movement and easy flowing tresses,” says Lindsey.

Lindsey applied White Sands Orchids Oil to smooth the hair without adding weight.

She sectioned hair in half across the head and flat ironed strands with a one-inch ceramic iron working from roots to ends.

Lindsey Took small sections throughout and used the iron to add a “curve” at the ends.

Lindsey sprayed the crown with White Sands Stuck Up Mega Hold Hairspray to tame fly-aways. “This hair spray is a perfect styling tool for a light, all-day finish,” says Lindsey. Zendaya’s waves kept their movement and body throughout her performance.
