For centuries, silk has been documented as a luxurious fabric due to its smooth texture and brilliant luster. Throughout history, silk has clothed royalty and the elite, continually evolving with fashion trends to still be coveted in modern times.
To replicate these same benefits for beauty, Farouk SystemsBioSilk emerged, which provides women with the same silky result but for hair; all derived from silk proteins. BioSilk nourishes strands with silk natural fiber while imparting shine, taming frizz and preventing split ends.
The Beauty of BioSilk Collection created by Farouk Systems Global Board Artist Rocky Vitelli and Jessica Davinski demonstrates how BioSilk’s line of hair care creates soft, sensual and silky looks that impart an artistic statement. From luscious soft braids to a step back into time styles, BioSilk provides the ideal foundation for each look.
STEP 1: “The Foundation” - Each model was prepped with BioSilk Silk Therapy Shampoo and Conditioner. Hair was gently towel-dried. A small amount of BioSilk Silk Therapy was applied to nourish hair and add shine.
STEP 2: “The Structure” - Hair was spritzed with BioSilk Silk Therapy Thermal Shield Protection Spray followed by BioSilk Therapy Mousse for hold.
STEP 3: “The Blow Out” - Hair on each model was dried using the CHI Touch 2 Dryer. A large round CHI Brush was used to lift the hair at the base to provide volume.
STEP 4: “The Style” - To complete each style, BioSilk Texturizing Powder was applied to the root area for additional lift followed by BioSilk Shine On to add additional brilliance and style control.
STEP 5: “The Finale” - Each model was sprayed with BioSilk Finishing Spray Natural Hold for a soft, natural finish.
