Celebrity stylist Creighton Bowman of Exclusive Artists Management decided to give style Krakowski’s blonde tresses in an update of a classic chignon. “We were going for a young, modern twist on a classic Grace Kelly style,” said Bowman. “The look gives a 2013 edge to the retro vibe if the gown.”

Bowman used a collection of Rene Furterer hair care and styling products. Here’s how he got the look.

Bowman washed and conditioned the hair with Rene Furterer OKARA Light Activating Shampoo and Light Activating Conditioner to protect and maintain her highlighted blonde shade.

To prep the hair, Bowman applied Rene Furterer Vegetal Straightening Gel from roots to ends on towel-dried hair to smooth and provide thermal styling protection followed by an application of Vegetal Mousse to the roots for volume.

Using a medium round brush, Bowman did a basic round brush blow-out leaving an unstructured deep side part.

To add texture, Bowman placed random curls with a ½-inch curling iron. He “broke up” the curl pattern with a flat iron and sprayed hair with Rene Furterer Naturia Dry Shampoo for an undone look.

Bowman pulled hair into a loose ponytail which he wrapped into a loose chignon, leaving some stray strands, and secured in place with hairpins.

Bowman finished the style with a few sprits of Rene Furterer Vegetal Finishing Spray for hold and shine.
