Josif Wittnik: Inspiring Extensions

“I needed something for the client who wanted to change her look more frequently, but wanted something stronger and longer lasting than clip-ins,” says Josif Wittnik, chief education officer and international creative director for Pure Extensions, a company that creates semipermanent extensions.

“The client comes in every five to six weeks for adjustments,” he adds. After the initial $1,500 charge for application, Wittnik charges $100 per hour for the re-fit. “This takes about 45 minutes,” he says.

The best part? The hair can be reused each time. “It’s a great environmental story,” says Wittnik. “The hair is recyclable as is our packaging and the cylinder used to place the extensions.”

Here are two of the versatile looks Wittnik created for MODERN in April.
