Salt Lake City-based hair extension brand Laced Hair launched their new haircare line, LHC, in February of this year. Their newest innovation is an extension safe, avobenzone-free, mineral sunscreen that prevents hair extensions from turning pink or orange, and it's the perfect product to send your extension clients home with this summer.
“Blonde extension wearers who experience this discoloration frustration, will be elated to get their hands on this,” expresses founder and CEO Lacy Gadegaard-West.
As an extension wearer, stylist, and CEO of an extension company, Gadegaard-West knows that so many clients have to “suffer through summer by dealing with discolored extensions, or just not fully enjoying time out in the sun because they have to figure out creative and careful ways to keep their hair up and off their face/shoulders to not mess up their (expensive) extensions."
She goes on to say, “I wanted to create a sunscreen that was safe for the face and extensions that allows people to enjoy sun-filled moments. We’ve been seeing the negative effects that ingredients like avobenzone and octocrylene have on extensions, so it was a no brainer for me to formulate one for my new haircare line, LHC.”
LHC is a haircare line that was created to infuse and transform hair with the same good, efficacious ingredients used in skincare, and without all the bad stuff. While LHC was designed specifically for hair extensions, the products are great for all hair types and textures - even if you don’t wear extensions.
“I aimed to solve a problem and simplify the 'discoloration drama' while enabling extension wearers to easily add sun protection that works to their arsenal of products. I think we nailed it for them,” Gadegaard-West explains.
FINALLY, a sunscreen that protects your skin while keeping your hair extensions from discoloring!
