Hair, too, was mostly neat and combed away from the face with few exceptions, which was reminiscent of red-carpet days of yore. What wasn’t old-school were the number of colorful and textured tuxedos, which was a nice change of pace. Leto, Eddie Redmayne, Neil Patrick Harris and David Oyelowo all wore bold variations of the traditional tux.

While watching the red carpet arrivals, we tallied up this unofficial list of the night’s facial foliage.
