The current movie version of The Great Gatsby is influencing fashion and hair styles with a return to romantic waves, short bobs and Roaring 20s accessories. What better place to show off these hot trends than at the Cannes Film Festival where actress Naomi Watts visited the red carpet with a summery floral frock and Jazz Age finger waves. Celebrity stylist Giannandrea explains how to get the look using Ecru New York styling products.
Begin with an application of Ecru New York Marine Thickening Balm throughout wet hair to create overall volume.
Take a deep side part and blow dry, directing hair on the side of the part backward, and the other side forward.
Take small sections throughout dried hair and use a small-barrel curling iron to create waves. Spray each section with Ecru Sunlight Styling Spray to set the waves.
Brush waved hair downward several times to combine waved sections and apply Ecru Silk Texturizing Balm throughout hair to create shine and definition.
Finish the look with a final brushing and hand-shape one side into finger waves. Set the waves with long clips for 15 minutes. Remove clips and set waves in place with Sunlight Finishing Spray MAX.
