Beauty, like nature, transitions from season to season—winter melts into spring, summer mellows into autumn—a cycle that forces nature to constantly reinvent itself. The Aveda Artistic Team was inspired by nature’s metamorphosis when creating the Spring/ Summer 2013 collection, The Art of Nature.
"Art of Nature captures romantic eras of the past and allows for an opportunity to explore texture with curls,” says Antoinette Beenders, global creative director for Aveda. “There is a softening of structural lines this season and a focus on natural elements in the world of fashion and art. We translated that into hair by shaping waves, ringlets and ripples worthy of pre-Raphaelites.”
From celebrating natural curls to embellishing texture with sun-kissed color, to brightening lips with touches of coral, subtle evolutions of beauty, the team says, this collection is proof that it’s easy to infuse any guests’ look with hints of romanticism.
