We all love the look of long beach waves for the summer months, which may be why the “Botticelli” hairstyle is so popular this season. The style is characterized by lengthy, flowing, effortless-looking waves that brings mermaids to mind.
The Botticelli style is named after the legendary Italian Renaissance painter, Sandro Botticelli, who often depicted the subjects of his paintings with the waves that were common back then. One of his most famous works that you’ve probably seen before is “La Nascita di Venere” (“The Birth of Venus.”)

But to those without the length, have no fear because the style is extra-cute in the short version, coined the Botticelli Bob. It’s a popular style this summer in particular because of celebrities like Kerry Washington, Bella Hadid, and Laura Harrier, who each rock their own version of this wavy bob effortlessly. Create two or three braids depending on hair thickness.
