If you're looking for swoon-worthy bridal styles, you'll probably land on work from Philadelphia bridal specialistNatalie Thomas. The artist first caught the eyes of MODERN editors early in 2019 when she was a semifinalist in our Braids and Brides special-occasion styling contest. Since then, Thomas has continue to make a name for herself in the styling sector of the beauty industry, but a recent tutorial she posted showed us she also knows how to incorporate gorgeous color results.
Naturally, we had to ask Thomas about the beautiful blonde boho style that feature pops of pink and red.
"I colored extensions with Moroccanoil’s Color-Depositing masks in Hibiscus and Rose Gold," Thomas says.
The collection deposits pure pigments along with the benefi ts of a deep-conditioning mask. The seven temporary shades—Champagne, Platinum, Hibiscus, Aquamarine, Rose Gold, Bordeaux and Cocoa—are designed to enhance color vibrancy, refresh existing tones or allow for experimentation while helping to restore the hair.
“I turn to the Color-Depositing masks when I want to add pops of color to my clients upstyles,” Thomas says. “They know it’s only temporary, so it’s a great way to get them to experiment before committing long term.”

Apply clip-in extensions colored with Moroccanoil’s Color depositing masks in Hibiscus and Rose Gold.
Curl the head with a 1-inch curling iron. Spray Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray in medium prior to curling each section for flexible hold.
Take your Moroccanoil Molding Cream and smooth down the curls. This will also add some texture as well.
Take the top crown section and create a ponytail loop at the occipital bone. Tuck the ends over the elastic. Secure with bobby pins.
Take the right side section of the hair that is above the ear. Twist the hair back, and pin under the occipital bone.
Repeat on the left side.
Now you will work with the hair that is down in the back. Taking 2-inch sections, twist the hair and pull apart to create messy texture and pin at random creating a loose bun. Feel free to leave out thin strands of hair to create that ‘undone’ look.
Lastly: detail! This is a crucial part of styling and tends to be rushed. This is your opportunity to take a step back from your work and notice any parts of the updo that needs adjusting. Check to make sure it’s balanced on all sides.
