Hudgens showed off her new cut on Instagram with a caption many a lob-weary stylist has been waiting for: "Who needs a lob when you can have a bb (blunt bob)!!"
We're happy to see so many stars and commonfolk alike embrace shorter styles; not since the '90s have short cuts been so widely popularized.
Lauren Conrad made the big chop with help from stylist Kristin Ess a while back, and Ess has taken to her blog,The Beauty Department, to talk a bit about it.

Bob, defined: The hair should clear the shoulders.
Who should NOT rock a bob? Extra-wide shoulders and short necks don't pair well with a bob. Recommend something else to your client.
Style essentials: A 1-inch flatiron is key for creating carefree texture. Also suggest your client stock up on a good mousse and pomade.
