Jenny Strebe (@theconfessionsofahairstylist) shows us how to create a whimsical, twisted ponytail for your client’s next special occasion. This half-up half-down style is all about texture, so Strebe recommends creating a nice, gritty foundation for a deconstructed result.
To start, she adds texturizing mist throughout the strands. Next, she blow dried in the product and added curl to create a nice foundation for the style. Then, after adding more dry texture spray throughout, she goes into more depth about the style. Working from right to left, she twists sections from the face and then drapes them around the head. She continues this process until the nape of the neck.
