Nicole Richie went for a dramatic hair change recently, going from long brunette locks to a rich, honey blonde bob. Joico celebrity colorist George Papanikolas was responsible for the shade transformation. About the client: “She wanted a big change in both style and color,” says Papanikolas, who also made Richie brunette. “Nicole is pretty versatile. She looks good with blonde or dark hair, and she likes to have fun with hair color. She’s got a lot of warmth in her eyes, so I chose more of a golden blonde.”
Healthy Hair at Any Age

Are you ready to copy these trendy hues when your clients request them? “Reds are head turners,” says Grace Nowitzky, director of education operations for Rusk. “Colorists customize reds according to how intense or subtle the client wants to look, as well as to complement her eye and skin tones.”

Our goal was to keep it consistent through morning to evening.”
