Pro Beauty Pulse: A Monthly View of Industry Confidence
The Professional Beauty Association and Pivot Point team up to develop an ongoing study that measures the confidence of salon owners, stylists, school owners, and students.
Bio Ionic’s Artistic Director Joel Calfee talks about why the GoldPro Digital Curling Iron is his go-to styling iron for waves, curls and natural texture.

Bio Ionic’s new GoldPro Styling Collection is too beautiful not to tell your clients all about them! As you are using them, educate them just as Bio Ionic’s Artistic Director Joel Calfee does with his clients.
In this video, Calfee tells us a whole lot about one of his go-to pieces in the collection—the GoldPro Digital Curling Iron!
First, it comes in two sizes (1” and 1.25”) which you can use to create beach-y waves or, if you alternate using them, you can create a more natural look.
However, what makes this iron unique from others is its 24K gold-plated barrel which helps distribute heat more evenly than a traditional curling iron would. “While traditional tools leave the hair a little dehydrated, our Ceramic Mineral Complex is going to put more hydration in your curls,” says Calfee. Another notable feature, is that the iron reaches a very high heat, and goes up to 450 degrees.
Don’t worry about leaving your curling iron on, because it will shut off automatically after one hour. Also, it’s suited for travelers—it features dual voltage (120w/240w) so you can bring it with you anywhere conversion is necessary.
That’s not all, Calfee discusses a lot more features about this curling iron in the video below! Watch now!
