Who We Are
With a haircolor collection that trades typical designations such as 9N and 6K for shades like “Party in Lombardy” and “Roman Goddess,” it comes as no surprise that founder George Schaeffer was also behind nailcare giant OPI. Now, Schaeffer has infused 30 years of passion for beautiful hues and quality professional products into Aloxxi.
Featuring more than 100 different shades, or “Color Personalities,” Aloxxi is changing the way clients talk with their colorists about services.
First Person
Director of Education Bob Siebert discusses innovation at Aloxxi and shares his thoughts on what makes the line unique.
Best of 2015
In 2015, we launched Dimensions, a one-step lift and deposit highlighting color for natural and color-treated hair in five shades. Dimensions are gentler than using a lightener and toner, save time performing highlighting services and deliver on-trend dimensional color by adding contrast, depth and mirror-like shine. These shades can be used with a variety of techniques to create what we call wearable edge.
Each shade is infused with four key ingredients to protect the health and integrity of the hair:
Illipe butter improves manageability and provides superior shine.
Coconut oil provides the essential proteins required to nourish damaged hair.
Antioxidant-rich sunflower seed extract helps protect color from damaging UV rays.
Plant-based keratin fortifies strands during the coloring process. Additionally, proprietary CDP Complex conditions hair, deposits and protects color and imparts extra color intensity and additional vibrancy.

Our CHROMA Permanent Crème Colour is the foundation of our line. This high-definition, conditioning color ensures hair remains gorgeous throughout the coloring process. CHROMA features CDP Complex to deliver complete coverage, moisturizing conditioners and brilliant shine into every strand. Our salons consistently note the gray coverage and longevity of the color as reasons for committing to Aloxxi.
“We are committed to delivering authentic and unique experiences in haircolor, care and styling by creating personal connections for everyone within our community.”
Color Culture
The industry is experiencing major consolidation, and the benefit of Aloxxi as an entrepreneurial company is being able to relate to the hairdresser on a personal level. We know one size doesn’t fit all, so we focus on including our four Fs—fashion, fun, food and family—in all of our Aloxxi experiences. Aloxxi’s platforms are developed for hairdressers to obtain real and relevant information with different channels for learning and hands-on opportunities within each experience.
Education Update
Our curriculum is designed, and the creative team is trained, so each technique presented lends itself to different levels. We can deliver a basic version of the technique to a junior stylist, and for the experienced, we have additional steps and tips to execute, which makes it more advanced where needed. We limit academy courses to between 12 and 15 people to allow us to deliver unique, personalized attention under the Aloxxi experience umbrella.
Formulation for Success
Aloxxi’s level system is the standard international level system of 1-10, 1 being the darkest, 10 being the lightest. For formulation, Aloxxi offers four options for gray coverage so a hairdresser can mix for natural, warm, cool or resistant hair and then work to formulate in four simple steps to determine natural level and tonal direction, texture, porosity and the selection of developer and timing.
