Two new tools are on their way from Amika, just in time for effortlessly glam summer hair: the High Tide Deep Waver and the Polished Perfection Straightening Brush 2.0.

The High Tide Deep Waver creates crease-free beach waves with a frizz-free finish. The tool features tourmaline ceramic barrels (measuring 18.5 mm each). The waver has an adjustable, digital temperature range from 120° to 390°F, with barrels that produce far-infrared heat and negative ions for gentle heat styling. Its heat-resistant, no -slip handle offers styling comfort while the barrel’s cool tips allow for control and safety. It also features a kickstand to rest safely on a vanity or countertop, and a 30-minute auto shut-off option.

Thick, coarse, curly: up to 390°F

The Polished Perfection Straightening Brush 2.0 fuses the power of a straightener with the ease of a hairbrush. It's an upgraded version of the brand's best-selling original. The tool uses IRED Beam Technology contained within the brush's base. Far-infrared light beam strips run along the sides of the brush’s base to speed heat  deeper into the hair to retain maximum moisture with less damage. Its adjustable, digital temperature can be locked in and is displayed on its digital LCD screen for precise control, and has 60-minute auto shut-off capabilities.

In Dubai, Clients Visit the Salon Every Week. Here’s What That Market Can Teach You

In Dubai, a salon visit isn’t an appointment. It’s a weekly routine, and clients can spend $800 to $1,400 a month on it, according to Gaurav Tripathi of MADI International. On October 6-8, 2026, the market behind those numbers opens its doors as Beautyworld Dubai marks its 30th edition at the Dubai World Trade Centre, bringing together distributors, brands, stylists and salon owners from all over the world.
