Fall Forecast: We will see new and different textures for this fall. Long hair gets longer, and looks range from straight to wavy and curly. The new “undone waves” are not perfect and don’t all flow in the same direction—this will be a street shock as we see the look develop in different lengths and cuts this fall.
Exciting product to share with clients: An amazing texture product from Maca¬damia Natural Oil launches this fall—a volumizing dry shampoo that comes in an aerosol can. It refreshes and revitalizes any hair type by creating layers of texture and fullness. Clients can use it as a dry sham¬poo to restore body and absorb excess oil residue, or they can apply it to clean hair to thicken and deliver a burst of extra volume for what I call “air texture.”
Curl creed: Curly hair textures have always been referred to as “problematic,” but curly hair is an amazing hair texture with natural body. As hair stylists, we should provide our clients with hair cuts that complement them and hair products that restructure their curl while hydrating the hair. It is important to understand the type of curl we are working with and recommend what’s best for the client’s natural texture. Love the hair you were born with, and try the entire line of Macadamia Natural Oil Products!
