Aveda was named a 2013 AmeriStar Package Award Winner in the Health & Beauty Aids category for its 100 percent Post Consumer Recycled High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) bottles. The Institute of Packaging Professionals (IoPP) AmeriStar Awards Competition recognizes the best packages of the year. One of Aveda’s top priorities for more than 30 years has been to maximize the use of post consumer recycled content materials in packaging whenever possible as well as developing packages that are easy to recycle. The 100 percent post consumer recycled content HDPE bottles meet both of these goals and are utilized in both used for Aveda’s Invati and Stress Fix brands.
“With every package we develop, we're mindful of our environmental footprint and work to minimize our packaging and maximize our use of recyclable and post-consumer recycled materials.” Says Mike Kennedy, Vice President, Aveda Global Package Development. “We are proud to be named an AmeriStar Package Award winner and recognized as a true leader in the beauty industry.”
