Buriti oil is a richly moisturizing ingredient harvested from the fruit of the Moriche Palm - aka "Tree of Life" - which flourishes in Brazil's wettest areas. Organic Buriti oil is hydrating and the key ingredient in Aveda's Dry Remedy Daily Moisturizing Oil. This 99.9% naturally derived daily leave-in treatment hydrates dry, brittle hair making it soft, supple and shiny.
According to Aveda, Dry Remedy Daily Moisturizing Oil's organic buriti oil penetrates hair to instantly increase hair's moisture by 41% without leaving behind any greasy residue.

“Buriti oil provides an instant luxe feeling on the hair,” Tippi Shorter, Global Artistic Director for Textured Hair says. “It’s lightweight so it doesn’t weigh hair down.” Formulated without silicones, Dry Remedy Daily Moisturizing Oil was developed to work effectively on all hair textures to deliver superior moisturization both inside and outside.
FOR BEST RESULTS:
To revive dry, brittle hair, Shorter recommends smoothing 1-2 drops of Dry Remedy Daily Moisturizing Oil into fine-tomedium straight hair after shampooing, and applying roughly half that amount to dry hair every day. For medium-to-thick straight or curly textures she uses 2-4 drops after shampooing and 1-2 drops daily on dry hair.
• For fine to medium straight hair, after you have finished blow-drying and styling, part dry hair in half. Emulsify 1-2 drops of Dry Remedy Daily Moisturizing Oil in your hands and smooth from mid length to ends through half of your hair. Repeat on second half. • For medium to coarse straight or curly hair, towel dry hair and part in half. Emulsify 1 drop of Dry Remedy Daily Moisturizing Oil in your hands and comb your fingers from mid length to ends through half of your hair. Repeat for second half. Blow dry or diffuse hair. Then, emulsify 1 drop of Dry Remedy Daily Moisturizing Oil in your hands and smooth from mid-length to ends through half of your hair. Repeat for second half. With residual oil on your hands, gently smooth over your crown for more shine and fewer flyaways.
