Bio Ionic has announced the launch of its new Agave Smoothing brand, it's the one stop shop for smoothing! Frizz fighters looking for a temporary smoothing experience can use the healing oil treatment, or for longer lasting results they can experience the in-salon treatment, which lasts up to 12 weeks.

So how did BioIonic come up with the Agave ingredient? When Bio Ionic President Fernando Romero was a boy growing up in the lowlands near Acapulco, Mexico, his grandmother taught him how to make natural hair and body products using Agave, Coconut and Vanilla. Today, Fernando brings us his Agave-derived smoothing products.

The Agave plant itselt survives in the high, arid desert conditions by preserving every drop of water it can. The sugars inside the Agave plant act like reservoirs, locking in moisture. The same chemistry has been harnessed in both the Agave Healing Oil Treatment and Agave Smothing Treatment formulas.

The Agave Healing Oil Treatment smoothes and restores frizzy, unmanageable hair. And because it's derived from a plant, it is noticeably more lightweight and less "oily-feeling" than the traditional Argan-type hair oils.

Agave’s Smoothing Treatment takes just over an hour from start to finish (pending hair length and texture) and hair color can be carried out the same day! Not only that, but Agave’s processing time is 20 minutes on the hair, whatever the hair type – including Caucasian, Asian, African American. Another cosmetic win for the treatment is that clients can shampoo their hair the same day.
