It's finally here! The U.S. finalists announcement of 2016's Goldwell Color Zoom Challenge!
Incredibly talented colorists from across the country submitted entries for one of the three Color Zoom Challenge Categories–Creative Colorist, New Talent Colorist and Partner Colorist, using the D!SRUPT trend collection as inspiration. which asked stylists to "break through" conventional constraints of shape, color and texture.
In June, applicants were narrowed to 15 Semi-Finalists by a prestigious panel of industry experts, including MODERN SALON's Beauty and Fashion Director Maggie Mulhern. Following the Semi-Finalist round, the expert Goldwell Hair Color Global judges’ panel have now selected three Gold U.S. Finalists, one for each category.

Creative Colorist, Colette Jones of GiddyUp Salon & Spa (Okanogan, WA)
New Talent Colorist, Linda Cabrera of Hair By Scott & Co. (Delray Beach, FL)
Partner Colorist, Daniel Rubin of Trio Salon (Chicago, IL)
These three National Gold Finalists will have the honor of competing live on behalf of the United States in the 2016 Color Zoom International Competition. This hands-on color competition will take place at Global Zoom in Stockholm on Sunday, October 2nd, 2016, giving contestants the opportunity to prove their creativity against other finalists from around the world and to earn the ultimate Global title. MODERN can't wait to join the three finalists and the Goldwell team in Stockholm!
