Carla Stoeffler, Academic Director of the Empire Beauty Academy in Paramus, New Jersey, deals with color correction frequently. When student Ashley tried her own DIY color, the results were a disaster.

According to Carla, this is not unusual.  Many clients (and apparently beauty school students!), try to create fashionable color in their bathrooms using box color. "This is not always as bad as it sounds," she says. "Those people usually end in the salon anyway for correction. It's a great way to get clients either in to the salon for the first time, or back for a return visit."

In this video, Carla demos how she corrected Ashley's blotched orange home results. Using dimesnional coloring in a foil weave technique, Carla was able to deliver a tasteful and comtemporary color design. "This is one of the most popular looks these days," she says. "It is one of the greatest money making color patterns."
