It’s a big weekend in Vegas coming up in professional beauty. Before Cosmoprof North America and the North American Hairstyling Awards, the salon community comes together to “do good” on Saturday, July 12, via the annual City of Hope Spirit of Life Award Gala at Mandalay Bay. The industry-wide benefit raises funds and awareness for the City of Hope research hospital’s efforts to find cures and treatments for cancer and other diseases.
This year’s honoree is Harlan Kirschner, president of The Kirschner Group, and the special evening includes a concert by music legend (and hair icon) Michael Bolton. There’s a silent auction that is hosted online—so anyone can participate and earn the amazing items (new selections just added July 3rd)! Also, Jinny Beauty Corp. has graciously donated a 2014 Mini Cooper car to be given away to one lucky winner that night.
The MODERN SALON Media team will be there to cover and report on all festivities, and to preview findings from our just completed Healthy Hairdresser research project, in cooperation with City of Hope.

• After you register you will get a welcome text message and then there are 3 ways to bid:
1. By Text - Text the 3-digit item number and amount to the welcome message you receive, ex: If you want to bid on item number 101 for $500 then you will text: 101 500, no dollar signs or decimals are needed.
2. By Smartphone - Click the link in your registration text. It will take you to a personal bidding page. Click on an item and place a bid, it’s that simple.
3. By Computer- Login with your username and password, click on an item and place a bid!
