Among the many highlights of the Professional Beauty Association (PBA) Beauty Week each year—the North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA), the Beacon program for students, a world-class trade show—is the annual Spirit of Life Award, presented by City of Hope to someone in the beauty industry who exemplifies generosity and an ability to inspire others to make a difference in the world. This year, the honoree is Harlan Kirschner, founder of The Kirschner Group, an industry rep group with more than 30 years of experience that offers complete global coverage to manufacturers with 36 professional sales reps within the United States, 17 salespeople internationally and a staff of 54 for store and educational support.
Currently a member of the board of directors for Professional Beauty Association (Cosmoprof), chairman of the Manufacturer Leadership Council and treasurer for the Western Buying Conference, Kirschner was selected because “his passion and love for the beauty industry shows in his dedication and the difference he has made in building his company,” according to City of Hope. He will formally receive the award at a special Spirit of Life Award Dinner on July 12 at Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. You’re invited!
