Color Wow hair care, Federici Brands' breakthrough range of professional technologies for color treated hair, was named “CEW Indie Beauty Award Winner, 2016” at this year's CEW Beauty Awards ceremony in New York City. In an impressive field of innovative beauty start-up’s, Color Wow was recognized for its visionary, pragmatic, problem-solving approach to addressing the many issues unique to color-treated hair.

Cited as a game-changer, Color Wow is the brain child of company CEO and founder Gail Federici. Former business partner of British stylist/salon entrepreneur John Frieda, Federici is known for revolutionizing the hair care industry with the first prescriptive brands dedicated to solving the specific problems of blondes and women with frizzy hair.

"It is such an honor to have received the ‘Indie Beauty Brand’ award from CEW," says Federici. "We are so very grateful and humbled by the continual support they give us."

Considered the Oscars of the beauty industry, the CEW Insider Awards have recognized excellence and advancements in cosmetics for over 20 years. Winners of the awards are selected by CEW’s US membership, comprised of 6,000 veteran beauty professionals, and are revealed at a ceremonial luncheon in NYC. The “Indie Brand Beauty Award” category honors innovative, up-and-comers in beauty. Celebrating creativity, originality and the entrepreneurial spirit of a small independent company, the award is intended to spotlight important, disruptive technologies and noteworthy brands with devoted consumer followings.
