The declaration from the state of Connecticut.
I stopped by the headquarters recently and my attention was immediately drawn to a poster size "Proclamation" from the Governor, M. Jodi Rell congratulating the Conair Corporation on its 50th Anniversary as a business and its 25th anniversary as a business located in Connecticut. 1959: Lee Rizzuto and his parents launched Continental Hair Products with a $100 investment.

Leandro P. Rizzuto, Founder/Owner of Conair Corporation, established 1959.
I had to ask my buddy, Vice President of Public Relations, Babe Rizzuto, what her founder dad had to say. "My father is a modern day genius, a true visionary. If you ask him what's his greatest accomplishment looking back, he prefers to look forward." These next 50 years should be interesting!
