Goldwell has announced this year’s 2015 Goldwell Color Zoom Challenge U.S. Finalists. Leading colorists from across the country sent in entries for one of the three Color Zoom Challenge Categories – Global Creative Colorist, Global New Talent Colorist, and Global Partner Colorist – around the theme of Traditional Rebels, a celebration of unique color combinations and tribal influences.

In June, applicants were narrowed to just 15 Semi-Finalists by a prestigious panel of industry experts. More than 20 poster-size photos from each category were presented in the penthouse of the Goldwell Academy in Manhattan’s fashionable Meatpacking district. The judges, including Vice President of Education Sandra Humphries, famed colorist Guy Tang, top stylist and owner of Arrojo Studio Nick Arrojo, and MODERN’s Beauty and Fashion Director Maggie Mulhern, were charged with looking for technical skills, proper interpretation of the trend and overall beauty.

“Judging was not easy,” says colorist and educator Guy Tang, of social media fame. “I am stunned by all the talent.”

Following the Semi-Finalist round, the expert Goldwell Hair Color Global judges’ panel have now selectedthree standout Gold U.S. Finalists, one for each category.

Please join us in congratulating the newest 2015 U.S. Gold Finalists: Creative Colorist, Harley Lobasso of hair by Scott & Company (Delray Beach, FL); New Talent Colorist, Samantha Conley of Cortello Salon (Jacksonville, FL); and Partner Colorist, Corinne Brown of Salon Circa (Seattle, WA).

These three National Gold Finalists will have the honor of competing live on behalf of the United States in the 2015 Color Zoom International Competition. This hands-on color competition will take place at Global Zoom in Las Vegas on Sunday, October 4th, 2015, giving contestants the opportunity to prove their creativity against other finalists from around the world and to earn the ultimate Global title.
