Creighton Bowman used Rene Furterer products to create the Bridgette Bardot inspired look on Helen Mirren for the Academy Awards.
There is still a lot of buzz about Helen Mirren dominating the red carpet for the most recent Oscars. She celebrated her naturally silver hair with a silver Badgley Mischka gown. Most importantly, Mirrenen listed the help of stylist Creighton Bowman to design a classic, sideswept up-do accented with Chopard diamonds. Bowman, who has been doing her hair for the past four years (among other celebs including Jane Krakowski, Michelle Trachtenberg, Kelly Ripa, Abigail Breslin and Rene Zellweger), used multiple Rene Furterer products to create the finished look. Okara mild silver shampoo was used to cut any gold tones followed by Volumea conditioning spray, Tonucia foam, Naturia dry shampoo and finally Rene Furterer finishing spray to create a Bridgette Bardot inspired messy French twist, fastened with the diamond Chopard clasp."We went for this look to show off her collar bone and long neck," says Bowman.

"The outfit totally set the tone and guided both hair and make up." While Bowman wishes he had carte blanche with Mirren but admits she has her own sense of "fabulous style…and a wicked sense of humor! She's been dying to cut it short and funky!" Below is Bowman's how-to:
I began by having Helen wash her hair with René Furterer OKARA mild silver shampoo. This shampoo cut out any gold tones in her hair. Her gown was silver and we wanted her hair to match.
On her towel dried hair I applied René Furterer TONUCIA no rinse fortifying and densifying mousse from root to end followed by spritzing René Furterer VOLUMEA volumizing conditioning spray no-rinse for extra texture.
Next we did a soft, round brush blowout with a deep side part. For even more texture I added René Furterer NATURIA dry shampoo (Helen LOVES this product!).
Lastly, I pulled her hair up into a messy French twist and fastened it with a diamond Chopard clasp. I spritzed René Furterer finishing spray instant hold over the finished style to keep it in place throughout the whole evening. Her hair had a soft, modern texture making it look healthy and chic.
