Two of the stars that sparkled most brightly on Emmy night were brunettes Juliana Margulies and newlywed Emily Blunt. Each wore dramatically different looks that matched perfectly with their dresses for the evening. Celeb stylist Robert Vetica styled Margulies shiny down 'do, while Laini Reeves was responsible for Blunt's gorgeous, decorated updo. We got the scoop on how they each created their styles.

The Emmy nominee for Outstanding Actress in a Drama was also on-hand to present her former "ER" castmate, George Clooney, with the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award. To complement her L'Wren Scott dress, stylist Robert Vetica created a flowing, sexy hair look. "Since the gown was perfectly fitted and very body-conscious, I wanted to
create a feminine look that was sexy, loose, and free," says Vetica. "There¹s nothing sexier than a long, shiny, full head of hair."

1. Start by blow drying hair using the argan oil-infused Moroccanoil Treatment to build-in lightweight shine, eliminate frizz and static, and speed drying time.
2. After making a center part, use a round brush to create fullness and volume. Direct the flow of the dryer away from the head for lift at the root.
3. Next, starting at the nape of the neck, use a 3/4 inch curling iron, taking 1 inch sections and working from the sides towards the center, and upwards toward the crown. Repeat this on the sides at the front, moving up to the middle part, using the curling iron in sections away from the face and toward the back.
4. After curling hair, spray lightly with Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray to give a set that holds the hair but allows it to move.
5. Let sit for several minutes, then give the entire set a good brushing backwards and forwards to loosen the curl into a natural wave.
6. Next, finger shape the waves and gently backcomb the hair around the sides and back with a wide tooth comb to separate the hair and give it even more volume. Make sure you only do a bit of backcombing on the crown, for a modern rather than 60's vibe.
7. Finish by picking up sections of the hair with fingers and spray inside and underneath with hairspray to keep the lift and volume active throughout the night.

Emily Blunt
The newlywed actress accompanied new husband and "The Office" star, John Krasinski, down the red carpet in a lavender gown and fresh, sophisticated hairstyle. Her longtime stylist, Laini Reeves, who also styled Blunt's hair for her wedding, created the look. "We wanted to create a look that was very different from any that Emily had worn before," says Reeves. "Once I saw the gown, I knew that a modern look based on the waved looks of the 20's was the perfect complement for the design."

1. Shampoo hair with Moroccanoil Moisture Repair Shampoo to leave it soft, shiny and well conditioned for the intricacies of styling.
2. Mix a cocktail of Moroccanoil Intense Curl Cream and the original Moroccanoil Treatment, then work the blend from the middle to the ends of the hair to control ends and flyaways and provide natural-looking, soft hold.
3. Next, make a low side-part on the right and then pincurl the hair in alternating patterns towards the left and behind the right side. Reeves made the pincurls in the classic way, pinning three alternate rows of of them-anti-clockwise, clockwise, anti-clockwise. Also, since Blunt's gown had a beautiful beaded accent on the right shoulder, Reeves placed the hair behind the ear to show this off.
4. Then mist Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine Spray on the wet hair and let it air-dry for one hour. Reeves didn't use a hairdryer since she didn't want the hair to appear blown in any way. "I wanted it to look authentic with all the ends nice and neat, so the waves would look softer yet controlled when they were brushed," she says.
5. Once the hair is air-dried, release the pincurls and rake fingers through hair. Use a panel brush to keep hair flat to the head and avoid disturbing the root movement of the wave. Gently brush from part to ends so hair falls into a lovely wave.
6. Finally, shape and style the flow of the look by framing the left side of the face with a cascade of waves. Place a hidden pair pin to provide hold.
7. To accent the look, you can attach an accessory in the hair above the right ear. Reeves crossed two bobby pins, clipped on the earring, and sewed it in with silver thread.
8. Reeves wanted the style to look a bit shorter and also accent the nape of her neck, so she created a pincurled, textured effect there at the nape.
9. Finish the look with a quick mist of argan oil-infused Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray to give the hair a beautiful hold without compromising on softness, movement or shine.
