Rachelle Beck (@hair.by.rachelleb) of Sweetly Shique, Peoria, Arizona, says it took 4 hours to transform her client. "Her regrowth was a natural level 8. She had two month old Pravana Vivids Pink Orchid that was faded and there was a lot of different banding." Here she shares the details for this correction:

Step 1: Apply Matrix Vlight with 20 volume from the mid shaft to ends.

Step 2: Apply lightener with 20 volume to her regrowth. Put hair in cap and process for 20 minutes at room temperature. Rinse and shampoo with Joico KPAK and then towel dry.

Step 3: Prepare toner: Patrice Ultra Light Blonde, 20g .001 and 10g .002 with 10 volume developer. Apply first to where the hair still had a slightly pink hue and then apply the rest of her hair. Process for 7-10 minutes (keeping an eye on the color.) Rinse, shampoo and condition with Joico KPAK. Dry hair.

Step 4: Using Kenra Silver Metallics, shadow roots with Demi 8sm with 1 inch purple booster. To the ends, apply Demi 10sm with 1 inch purple booster (1/4oz of Olaplex step 1 is added into Kenra formulas).

Step 5: Process for 20 minutes.  Rinse and in applicator bottle mix 3oz water and  Olaplex #1. Apply on towel dried damp hair and process for 5 minutes. Massage in Olaplex #2 and cap the hair for 10 minutes. Shampoo and condition with Joico KPAK.
