Dr. Farouk Shami, founder of Farouk Systems, announces the appointment of Edwin Hofstede as managing director for Europe as of July 1, 2017. With over 20 years of experience in the professional salon industry, Hofstede worked as a sales and marketing manager for Farouk Systems’ Dutch distributor TrendyHair Company.
He also worked for Farouk Systems Europe from 2007 until 2013 as a marketing manager, supporting the European distributors.
In his new position of managing director, Hofstede will be responsible for the growth, support and performance of the European Division. He will be managing all departments and creating the right plan to build, integrate and engage brand experiences. Hofstede will work closely with distributors and salons worldwide to provide education, sales and marketing tools.
“It has never been a secret that it was and still is my interest, goal and focus to develop and grow international markets," Hofstede says. "With this new challenge and opportunity that Dr. Farouk Shami has given me as Managing Director for Europe it is a dream come true and I am more than confident that I will be a valuable asset in sales and marketing.
