Lately, there's been a lot of talk about giving back. Whether you're giving back to the community, giving back to your peers, or giving back to the industry-whatever you can do to make a difference in the lives of others is so important.

That's why, in the spirit of giving, MODERN editors pulled together some of our favorite hair products and passed them out to the budding PhD (professional hair dressers!) class at Pivot Point International.

As any former college student or cosmo student knows, money's tight when you're in school. You have to cut corners somewhere. For some, unfortunately, that means using drugstore products or, GASP!, no product at all. Using professional product enables students to recommend professional product. And, in this economy, the professional retail recommendation is key to success.

These girls', plus one boy ALEX!, eyes light right up every time they get a new product to sample on their mannequin heads, the heads of their family and friends who are brave enough to be our guinea pigs, and even their own heads.
