Seattle's Habitude Salons held a photo competition called the HABHA contest and winner Lauren McThewson has earned a trip to the NAHA'S this July in Las Vegas.
We just heard about this wonderful competition held at the 2 HABITUDE Salons in the Seattle area. The 100 employees were invited to enter NAHA worthy photos for the HABHA contest held recently. 7 stylists competed for one Grand Prize…an all expense paid trip to the 2010 NAHAs to be held this July in Las Vegas! Lauren McThewson has been announced the winner.
"I used the NAHAs as a platform to launch this event to inspire and show my stylists what we are all capable of achieving in this amazing field in which we have chosen to work," says J.J. Wrighton, Salon Director. "I love the fact that there is always something new, exciting and different going on and developing in the salon arena."
Winner McThewson credits a recent trip to her victory. "I was inspried by my recent trip to the Aveda Academy in London where I saw first hand all of the current, amazing trends in hair and fashion. I was thrilled and overwhelmed when I heard my name called as the winner of this competition and am looking forward to my first trip to the NAHA ceremony in 2010!"
The success of the HABHA's has invigorated the staff. According to Wrighton, the event inspired the team and built a new sense of camaraderie. "This is the first time that we did a photo competition," he says. "It was so successful it is already on the agenda for this year. We will do a spring/summer collection, fall/winter collection and the culmination of the year will be the HABHAs!"
