New Jersey gets such a bad rap between those New Jersey housewives and SNOOKI. It is our honor to report all the good things that go on in New Jersey to make us PROUD. Some of the best news lately is the "Haircuts For Haiti" event that took place at the Dieci Lifestyle Spa in Livingston just last week. In just 4 hours, more than $6000 was raised for Haiti relief efforts.

A number of salon and spa services were offered to hundreds of guests at a discounted rate, with 100% of proceeds donated to UNICEF. Eyebrow & lip wax, manicures, mini-facials, massages, paraffin treatments, hair cuts, color gloss & condition, mini make-up lessons, chair massage and blowouts were offered by Dieci salon owner Paul Gaglioti and his salon industry friends including the owners and artists from Bangz Salon and Wellness Spa in Montclair, Antonio's Salon and Spa in Livingston, Panico Salon and Spa in West Caldwell and Sarracino Salon and Spa at Mira's in Livingston.

"We are overcome with the outpouring of support from our peers from this event," says Paul Gaglioti of Dieci Lifestyle Spa. "We called on salon owners in the area and not one told me no. We are excited and blessed to be surrounded by such talent in the industry and good hearted people."

In Dubai, Clients Visit the Salon Every Week. Here’s What That Market Can Teach You

In Dubai, a salon visit isn’t an appointment. It’s a weekly routine, and clients can spend $800 to $1,400 a month on it, according to Gaurav Tripathi of MADI International. On October 6-8, 2026, the market behind those numbers opens its doors as Beautyworld Dubai marks its 30th edition at the Dubai World Trade Centre, bringing together distributors, brands, stylists and salon owners from all over the world.
