Even with record high temps, our favorite celebrities stayed cool—and looked cool—with smart styles that were sleek and chic, not frizzy or stringy. The national heat wave didn’t wilt their looks. And since the dog days of summer aren’t over yet, we’ve rounded up the best hairstyles we’ve seen this sizzling summer (see all photos below) along with how-tos from Kristine Sinclair, hairstylist at Trini in Private Hair Salon & Spa in Miami, on her favorite heat-resistant night and day looks.

For Night:
“I do a side coif,” Kristine says. “You start with clean dry hair, then take small sections and roll them vertically around a 1-inch curling iron. Gather curls to one side and pin to head."

“It’s not a clean look," she adds. "It’s a loose, beachy look. You want to leave a few small pieces out. Then stick in a small flower for a final beautiful touch.”

For Day:
“If they are going to wear their hair down, rather than pinning it to the head, just create the loose curls and simply spray with a sea salt spray,” she recommends. “It’s an easy look with this weather.”

The biggest problem for most clients? Hair that frizzes in the humidity. To combat, they must remove the moisture that’s swelling their hair cuticles, says Kristine. Recommend that they blowdry their hair upside down until completely dry. Then smooth with a brush, and apply a tiny bit of wax to seal the cuticle. “My favorite wax is Rough Paste by Redken,” Kristine says. “You can piece out the layers of the hair with wax. It’s better than hairspray and gives second-day hair.”

In Dubai, Clients Visit the Salon Every Week. Here’s What That Market Can Teach You

In Dubai, a salon visit isn’t an appointment. It’s a weekly routine, and clients can spend $800 to $1,400 a month on it, according to Gaurav Tripathi of MADI International. On October 6-8, 2026, the market behind those numbers opens its doors as Beautyworld Dubai marks its 30th edition at the Dubai World Trade Centre, bringing together distributors, brands, stylists and salon owners from all over the world.
