The CND team of nail artists were found backstage at 25 shows this past season during New York Fashion Week. Jan Arnold, Co-founder and Creative Director of CND, is instrumental in creating elaborate and exciting looks for some of the top shows. When I met her at the end of fashion week, I asked her which were her favorite shapes and colors for the fall 2010 season. It was tough for her, but she finally came up with her five favorites.
"I chose these five nail looks because each of them so beautifully completes the story behind each collection and complements the designer's vision. Every designer spent time and care in researching the overall style of their Fall 2010 collections - and we were able to provide the perfect nail accessory to help them take it all the way! Ruffian's inspiration was drawn from 1960's vintage Vogues and Marc Jacobs' focus was to meticulously harmonize nails with his runway greige color palette. These unique manicures perfectly balanced the hair, make-up and runway clothing - and most importantly, we provided innovative looks that are accessible to women everywhere."
