Knock my socks off!

In November, I am getting married! My fiancé and I are planning a traditional wedding -- big church, lots of guests, huge bridal party and a big bash at a downtown hotel afterwards.

As a bride, I am concerning myself with all the usual details --purchasing a dress, choosing a cake, coordinating colors and pickingout the perfect invitations.

As the editor of Modern Salon I amconcerning myself with only one thing -- my wedding-day hair. Oh, thepressure! The hair expectations for me are going to be through theroof. And don’t get me started on make-up -- one thing at a time.

Fortunately,I live in a city of fantastic hairdressers! So I’m sending a shout outto all of you talented Chicago stylists -- help me find the perfectwedding-day style!

Send a short paragraph about how you would domy wedding-day hair and we’ll choose between three and five Chicagostylists to give me a trial run. I’ll bring my web team with me andwe’ll take videos and photos of you in action, including before andafter shots of my style. We'll post all the photos and videos onModernSalon.com and we may even feature some of the styles in themagazine.

Here’s a little background that might help you get an idea of what I'm thinking:
- My dress is a traditional princess-style, strapless gown.
- I will wear a veil -- style to be determined.
- I have a small sparkly headband I’d like to incorporate.
- I want my hair all up and am not afraid of big!
-Although everything I’ve listed above is very traditional, I reallywant the hairstyle to be modern and contemporary. No prom up-dos! Feelfree to use twists, braids or anything else that will make it unique!

E-mail your ideas to lsmoke@vancepublishing.com and keep an eye out for the results on ModernSalon.com!
