Living Proof announces new hire Michael Shaun Corby as creative director of the Global Salon Channel, a new position created to support the brand’s ambitious global education efforts.
Living Proof is currently in 29 countries, with plans to launch in Korea and New Zealand by the end of this year. It is available both at high-end salons and prestige retailers.
"We’ve seen incredible demand for our products at salons around the world, and we’re scaling to meet that demand," says Living Proof CEO Grace Ray. "Education is a key priority so I am excited to welcome Michael Shaun to the team. His passion and expertise as a stylist coupled with his deep roots as an educator will be a strong asset to our professional education curriculum."
In this new role, Corby will be joining the global education team responsible for developing and scaling Living Proof’s professional education program. He brings with him his expertise from 17 years at Alterna, where as the "stylist’s stylist" he led academy curriculum, how-to training, and salon events. Corby was a lead stylist and on-air spokesperson for Project Runway All Stars, salon owner, and NAHA Committee Chair and Judge with over 25 years in the professional salon industry. Past clients include brands like Stella McCartney, 7 for All Mankind, Nicole Ritchie, Molly Sims, and Rebecca Minkoff.
"I met part of the Living Proof team in Singapore when they were launching the brand there last year and I was so impressed by the science behind what they’re doing," Corby said. "I have worked in luxury haircare for most of my life but have not seen anything this revolutionary until Living Proof came along! I knew I had to be a part of it, because this will turn into something big."
