Before I attended the shows, I stopped by the VIP Music Lounge at the Hard Rock Hotel to get a glimpse of what RED 7 Salon had in store for Lolla bands and VIP members. I also snapped some photos of crazy hair I saw at the festival on Friday! Check it out!
Lollapalooza was this weekend in Chicago and it was a rockin' good time! But, before I headed over to the festival on Friday, I got the chance to stop by Lollapalooza's VIP Music Lounge at the Hard Rock Hotel!

For the past four years, RED 7 SALON has been the official hair salon for the VIP Music Lounge for artists, press and VIPs to relax and chill away from the heat at the music festival. They offered haircuts, styling, neck/bang trims, hand massages and complimentary lollipops! "It's a great opportunity for our team to step out from behind the chair, brand ourselves, and explore our creativity in a ‘rockin' environment," says Jason Hall, owner of RED 7 SALON. "Over the years, we've met a lot of very interesting people and have had a great time."

The salon was offered the opportunity to be the official hair salon for the Lollapalooza VIP Music Lounge through a client recommendation. "The PR company that hosts the event contacted us, loved our company mission/concept, and thought we would be a perfect match for the level of quality they were looking to provide the artists/press/VIPS," says Hall. "We jumped at the chance…knowing our team would have a lot of fun with it!"
Stylists did touch ups, clean ups and freshened up hair styles for Lollapalooza VIP Lounge members.
This year, RED 7 styled Perez Hilton's hair in preparation for him to host his "One Night in Chicago" Lollapalooza Party.

"It's a really fun energy we have every year styling the hair for different Lollapalooza band members," says Jennifer Jordahl, stylist and colorist for RED 7. "It's great being part of the backstage experience-it's not the typical clients you see behind the chair."
After leaving the VIP Lounge, I headed over to Lollapalooza where crazy hair styles popped out everywhere! I saw everything from dreads to aluminum cans wrapped in girls' hair (in celebration of the Lady Gaga show).

During the Devo show, I found this guy sporting a faux hawk!
Braids! (It took a full two hours for this guy to get his entire head done with braids.)
Wigs!I know it's not real hair, but it still counts!
And last but not least...the queen of crazy hair herself...Lady Gaga!
Lady Gaga even had hair extensions connected to one of her outfits!
