Matrix has established a new Regional Academy initiative. Four key Matrix salon partners have been tapped to host education events in their cities, and another 20 salons will be selected to serve as Matrix Regional Academies by the end of 2014.
Each of the Regional Academies will host a minimum of four classes per year, including selections from the new Programs of Passion, in which top Matrix educators create curricula based on their individual interests and passions. Programs of Passion will also be created by the Regional Academy leaders.

The first four Matrix Regional Academies represent a cross-section of the most successful and artistic salons in the country today:
• Salon Glo, Valencia, CA. Salon Glo Owner Dan Csicsai is a Matrix Global Design team member, an individual NAHA-nominee and a NAHA Salon of the Year finalist. He will also be offering a Programs of Passion class entitled More Than Balayage with Dan Csicsai.
• Esteem Academy of Beauty, Salt Lake City, UT. Esteem Owner Darci Brown is a CRAFT Color Master and a high level Matrix Artistic Educator.
• The Loft, Boston, MA. Loft owner Michael Albor has been nominated nine times for a NAHA award, been named Breakthrough Stylist of the Year by Allure magazine and serves as a high level Matrix Artistic Educator. His salon has also made the Salon Today 200.
• Gina Khan Salon, San Francisco, CA. Gina Khan is the Logics International Spokesperson and a three-time recipient of the Haircolor USA Creative Artist Award. Her comprehensive philanthropic efforts have led to her distinction as the first recipient of the Noelle DiCaprio Award for Humanitarian Contributions.
