Matrix will expand its popular Biolage brand in May with the introduction of Biolage Advanced Fiberstrong and Biolage Advanced Keratindose, two prescriptive formulas for weak, fragile hair and overprocessed hair, respectively.
Biolage Advanced is formulated with natural ingredients and breakthroughs in molecular science to both diagnose and treat two specific types of hair damage.

Biolage Advanced Fiberstrong for weak and fragile hair is formulated with Intra-Cylane and bamboo to condition the cuticle and strengthen and add resiliency to weakened hair. Intra-Cylane is a patented molecule that fills gaps in the outer cuticle caused by brushing, thermal styling tools, UV exposure and daily stress.
Bamboo is a botanical that, in nature, regenerates itself faster than other plants or trees. As an ingredient, bamboo provides tensile strength and flexibility.
The Biolage Advanced Fiberstrong collection features three daily use products and one professional treatment. Fiberstrong Shampoo fortifies fragile areas with a paraben-free formula that cleanses and adds elasticity and shine. Fiberstrong Conditioner detangles, strengthens and protects against damage and dryness. Fiberstrong Intra-Cylane Fortifying Cream is a lightweight daily treatment that provides an anti-breakage protective layer and conditions the cuticle.
Fiberstrong includes Intra-Cylane Concentrate, a powerful, in-salon treatment that repairs and reinforces the hair with the highest, professional level concentration of Intra-Cylane.
For hair that has been overprocessed by color, bleach, relaxers, texturizers, keratin straightening and other chemical services, Matrix is offering Biolage Advanced Keratindose. The Keratindose line contains Pro-Keratin, a durable and protective essential protein and silk, nature’s strongest fiber. Silk amino acids prevent dryness and leave hair soft and supple. Keratindose maintains the hair’s optimal levels of moisture and protein balance.

The Keratindose line includes Keratindose Shampoo, which is free of sulfate, paraben and salts to provide maximum balance for overprocessed hair. Keratindose Conditioner gives hair added moisture and prevents further loss of hydradtion. Pro-Keratin Renewal Spray is a lightweight spray-on lotion that adds shine and manageability and tames frizz. Pro-Keratin Concentrate features the highest concentration of silk and pro-keratin in the Keratindose range in a professional salon service that renews dry, damaged hair and adds softness and movement.
Biolage Advanced will be available in salons beginning in May 2013. Salon clients will then be able to visit matrix.com/advanceddiagnosis to obtain an online assessment of their hair needs, which can be taken to a Matrix salon for the correct service and at-home products. Stylists can also take a diagnostic test at this time by visiting MyMatrixfamily.com/advanceddiagnosis.
