A very special screening of Vidal Sassoon, The Movie, was held last night at the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York City.  The film is opening in limited release and a very special event with special appearances is scheduled this March during America's Beauty Show in Chicago. We caught up with Michael Gordon, producer of the film, who tells us how important this film is to the salon industry. Gordon is not just a producer, but a salon professional as well. A hairdresser, salon owner, founder of Bumble and bumble, photographer and now filmmaker, Gordon owes much of his success to Vidal. He shares with our audience why every salon professional should watch this documentary over and over again.

In Dubai, Clients Visit the Salon Every Week. Here’s What That Market Can Teach You

In Dubai, a salon visit isn’t an appointment. It’s a weekly routine, and clients can spend $800 to $1,400 a month on it, according to Gaurav Tripathi of MADI International. On October 6-8, 2026, the market behind those numbers opens its doors as Beautyworld Dubai marks its 30th edition at the Dubai World Trade Centre, bringing together distributors, brands, stylists and salon owners from all over the world.
