Onesta Earth Day Winners
The multi-dimensional use of hanging live plants, recycled and re-purposed materials, and the use of botanicals native to the region made this a top notch display. The staff at the salon demonstrated an ability to think outside the box while keeping the display and the message 100 percent "green." (They even made non-toxic glue from cornstarch, flour, & water!) However, it was the inclusion of other local "green" businesses, the sale of saplings in the salon, a staff sponsored bake sale, and donation of 10 percent of their Onesta sales (all to benefit a local environmentally-focused non-profit) that drove this entry over the top.
This salon won an Evening with Onesta, featuring salon environmentalist and president Michael Redmond and a Product Knowledge class by an Onesta National Platform Artist. Each stylist also received a station set up valued at $80!
