Cures Dee DeLuca-Mattos and Beauty Addicts Lisa Saladino Mihok offer great tips on winter skin care and holiday make up techniques.
I bumped in to 2 friends at the DePasquale headquarters recently in Fair Lawn, New Jersey. While there, I asked each to give a favorite winter tip. Each came up with one immediately!
Dee DeLuca-Mattos of Cures offered a tip to professional estheticians to help their clients maintain their skin between visits during the winter:
"I advise clients to gear up for harsh winter weather by getting in the
habit of moisturizing, both in the shower and following their shower.
The harsh winter weather coupled with layering on heavy clothing creates
dry, rough skin. The secret to maintaining hydration all season long is
using a cotton washcloth in shower with a dollop of hydrating body wash [she recommends Cures Hydrating Body
Wash]. The wash cloth acts as a wonderful exfoliate, that will continually
slough off dry skin while the mineral rich algae in the Body Wash helps
maintain moisture."
For an added boost, Dee offers after care tips: "I love to cocktail CURES Marine Oil Body Glow, which is
an algae oil, with a dap of CURES Hydrating Body Silk moisturizer to keep
skin completely hydrated and radiant all winter long."
Lisa Saladino Mihok, a Beauty Addicts Makeup Artist, offered her favorite
holiday make up technique:
"For the Holidays I love to focus on my client's lips. Full, dramatic lip
color makes any look Holiday-ready.
- Start with a flawless complexion – beauty ADDICTS new Face2Face crème to
powder for that semi-matte photo ready finish
- Eyes should be almost nude with a luxurious black eyeliner for the top
lid. beautyADDICTS Seduce Effortless Eyes offers the perfect nude shades.
Then, finish with several coats of Lash Galore mascara for jet black
luxurious lashes.
- For dramatic lips start by lining and filling in with Luscious Lips Liner
in the Seduce shade (a deep neutral berry shade). Then, go over with the
Seduce Relation lips lip quad and finish with a coat of new Sweet Lips Black
Cherry Lip Gloss."
