Regis Corporation announced that its annual Clip for the Cure campaign raised $1 million for the Regis Foundation for Breast Cancer Research. So far, the yearly event has raised more than $10 million to fund breast cancer research at the University of Minnesota’s Masonic Cancer Center, the Mayo Clinic and other nationally recognized medical research facilities.

“Clip for a Cure is an important campaign for Regis; many of our stylists and guests are women and many of us have had family members or friends directly affected by breast cancer,” said Dan Hanrahan, president and CEO of Regis. “We’re very pleased and proud that our stylists, guests and business partners came together to help us raise $1 million this year.”

Clip for a Cure was held during October, National Breast Cancer Awareness month. More than 7,000 Regis corporate salons participated in the event and stylists delivered more than 240,000 haircuts. Regis donated a portion of the proceeds from the cuts to the Regis Foundation for Breast Cancer Research. During October, salons also donated 10 percent of net proceeds from the sale of private label products, and salon guests contributed by purchasing limited-edition pink products.  For more information, visit clipforthecure.org.
